Rod El Farag Axis Bridge
The Rod El Farag axis also recognized as Tahya Misr passing over the Nile, which is one of the most important projects of the national network of roads to transport traffic densities coming from East Cairo to the Alexandria Desert Road, Matrouh and Al Alamein without passing through the heart of Cairo. Its length is about 400 meters, its width is 50 meters, its height is 14 meters from the surface of the water, and the width of the navigational aperture is 120 meters, which allows the passage of floating hotels. The bridge includes the largest navigational opening across the Nile, where the width of the navigational aperture reaches 300 meters and the height of the columns reaches 100 meters. The bridge bears heavy weights of up to 120 tons.
